ArmInfo. The Gutan Festival will once again bring together the best Armenian song and dance groups. This year will be dedicated to the 60th birthday of Honored Artist of Armenia and prominent figure in choreographic art Gagik Ginosyan.
The event will take place on August 22 at 19:00, organized by the "Mrro" Armenian National Art Center at the Cafesjian Sculpture Garden (Cascade).
Over the years, the "Gutan" Festival has become one of the most important cultural initiatives aimed at preserving and promoting national song and dance arts. It brings together top ensembles and performers from Armenia and the diaspora on a single stage, showcasing the musical and choreographic heritage of all corners of historical Armenia—from Cilicia to Artsakh, Javakhk, and Lori—as well as the rich culture of various regions and historical areas of the country.
As the festival organizers informed ArmInfo, 26 ensembles will participate in this year's event, with over 500 performers taking to the stage. One of the most impressive and symbolic moments of the festival will be the opening ceremony, during which all participants will perform in a joint dance.
According to the source, throughout its existence, the "Gutan" Festival has also been held in Artsakh and Tavush, contributing to the preservation and popularization of Armenian cultural heritage.
