Armenia`s Prosecutor General`s Office: Yerevan Ararat  Brandy-Wine-Vodka Factory transferred to state control

The Anti-Corruption Court has granted the Prosecutor General's Office's petition to transfer the Yerevan Ararat Brandy-Wine-Vodka Factory (owned by businessman Gagik Tsarukyan, leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) - ed.) to the control and preservation of the Republic of  Armenia, as reported to ArmInfo by the press service of the  Prosecutor General's Office of Armenia.

The office recalled that the request for confiscation of illegally  acquired property was submitted to the court on October 9, 2023. "The  statement of claim, among other things, demanded the confiscation of  Tsarukyan's shares in the Yerevan Ararat Brandy, Wine and Vodka  Factory CJSC, as property of illegal origin, in favor of the Republic  of Armenia. As part of the case on the confiscation of property of  illegal origin, on July 29, 2026, the Prosecutor General's Office  submitted a motion to the Anti-Corruption Court for the application  of an interim measure - the transfer of management and preservation  of the shares of the factory to the Republic of Armenia. By the court  decision of July 30, 2026, the motion was granted.  Management of the  company was transferred to the Republic of Armenia represented by the  Ministry of Economy," the department explained.

It is noted that as part of the claim, the Prosecutor General's  Office also demands the recovery from Tsarukyan and persons  associated with him of the following: 75 real estate properties,  including 52 apartments in the Nor-Nork district, 5 apartments on  Abovyan Street, 11 apartments in the Kotayk region and other real  estate properties; the market value of 10 properties; 42 vehicles;  equity stakes in 38 legal entities, including Multi Group Concern  LLC, Multi Autotrans LLC, Onira Club LLC, and other companies. "The  total amount of the stated monetary claims is 105 billion 865 million  865 thousand drams," the Prosecutor General's Office of Armenia  noted.

The office also recalled that, as part of the case on the  confiscation of property of illicit origin, on July 13, 2026, the  Prosecutor General's Office submitted another motion to the  Anti-Corruption Court for an interim measure—the transfer of  management and custody of the shares of Araratcement CJSC, also owned  by Tsarukyan, to the Republic of Armenia. "By a court decision dated  July 15, 2026, this motion was granted.  Management and custody of  the shares of Araratcement CJSC were transferred to the Republic of  Armenia," the Prosecutor General's Office concluded.
