Aharon Sahakyan relieved of his post as Governor of Armenia`s Kotayk  Province 

ArmInfo.  Aharon Sahakyan has been relieved from his post as Governor of the Kotayk Province of Armenia. The decision was made at a government meeting on July 30.

"Guided by Part 2 of Article 160 of the RA Constitution and Part 1 of  Article 6 of the Law on Territorial Administration, the RA Government  decides to relieve Aharon Sahakyan of his post as Governor of the  Kotayk Province of the Republic of Armenia, effective July 31, 2026,"  the justification for the draft decision reads.

It should be noted that Aharon Sahakyan has held the post of Governor  since May 2021. Following the 2026 parliamentary elections, he became  a member of the National Assembly and intends to focus on legislative  activities.
