ArmInfo. President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan visited the French Embassy in Armenia on the occasion of the country's national holiday, Bastille Day. According to the presidential press service, Khachaturyan congratulated Ambassador Olivier Decotigny, represented by President Emmanuel Macron, and the friendly people of France, wishing them peace, success, and prosperity.
Underscoring, among other things, the special Armenian-French relations, the President of Armenia emphasized the importance of high-level visits, recalling President Macron's successful state visit to Armenia in May of this year, which gave new impetus and substance to the bilateral agenda. The parties discussed programs implemented by France in Armenia's Syunik region at both the central and local government levels. The parties also noted the importance of deepening cooperation in the military- industrial, high-tech, and defense sectors.
Khachaturyan touched upon progress in the Armenia-EU strategic partnership, emphasizing France's role in this agenda.
