
ArmInfo.Armenian pianist Ruben Kozin, a graduate of the Central Music School and the Moscow Tchaikovsky State Conservatory, has participated in a cultural program hosted by the Russian House in Dushanbe, marking his first performance before a Tajik audience.
According to the press service of the Russian House in Armenia, prior to his solo recital, the musician conducted a masterclass for students at the Talabkhuja Sattorov Tajik State Conservatory. During the session, he shared his professional expertise, discussed his creative journey, and answered questions from aspiring young musicians. His concert program featured works by Pyotr Tchaikovsky, Franz Liszt, Komitas, and Arno Babajanyan, successfully synthesizing Russian, European, and Armenian piano traditions.
The creative visit continued with Ruben Kozin's participation in the "Sadoi Vahdat" ("Harmony of Unity") international concert, held at the Sadriddin Ayni Tajik State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater. The concert, dedicated to National Unity Day and the upcoming 35th anniversary of the Republic of Tajikistan's state independence, brought together musicians from Tajikistan, Russia, Armenia, Uzbekistan, and Venezuela.
Representing Armenia, Ruben Kozin performed Sergei Prokofiev's Piano Sonata No. 7, one of the most technically demanding works in the global piano repertoire. His mastery and stage presence captivated the audience.
Shortly before his trip to Tajikistan, the pianist performed in Armenia's Syunik region. As part of a Rossotrodnichestvo event held at the Kapan State College of Arts, he performed works by Armenian composer Eduard Hayrapetyan, an Honored Artist of Armenia and a laureate of the State Prize of the Republic of Armenia. In this way, the musician's recent tour has served to bridge projects coordinated by the Russian Houses in both Armenia and Tajikistan.
