ArmInfo. The sports infrastructure of Yerevan's Hrazdan Stadium will be renovated. The RA government will allocate 63.135 million drams for the acquisition of design and estimate documentation for the reconstruction of the stadium's track and field.
The new track will meet all international standards. It will host the Francophonie Games in 2027. To begin the work, design and estimate documentation must first be obtained in accordance with RA legislation on urban development and procurement. An inspection and certification of the technical condition of Hrazdan Stadium has already been conducted, confirming that the stadium's southern and northern stands can be used at 50% of their capacity, accommodating 11,750 people. The Western Stand can be used at 100% capacity and accommodate 8,100 people. The first 11 rows of the Eastern Stand can be used at 100% capacity and accommodate 1,716 people. Tiered seating is not provided. Based on the above, Hrazdan Stadium can accommodate approximately 21,566 people. Furthermore, it should be taken into account that stadium improvements are required before hosting any events, including changing rooms, restrooms, a running track, landscaping, major repairs, and other construction work.
The RA Urban Development Committee developed technical specifications for the acquisition of the necessary design and estimate documentation. Price proposals with the specified technical specifications were received. ArmProject OJSC was responsible for the stadium design. Construction costs were also calculated in accordance with the procedures established by the legislation of the Republic of Armenia. As a result, having averaged the received price proposals and the cost of construction, 61.0 million drams are allocated for the development of design and estimate documentation, and 2.135 million drams for the examination of design and estimate documentation.
