ArmInfo. The "Wings of Unity" party of former Ombudsman Arman Tatoyan sharply criticized the Constitutional Court of Armenia's decision of July 4, 2026, which upheld the results of the June 7 parliamentary elections and the decisions of the Central Electoral Commission.
The corresponding statement was published on the party's Facebook page on July 5.
The party stated that, in their opinion, the Constitutional Court failed to fulfill its primary mission of protecting the Constitution and public trust. The political party noted that numerous violations were recorded during the parliamentary elections, including the use of administrative resources, undeclared expenses, voter intimidation, and the inaction of state bodies regarding the alleged violations.
Furthermore, Wings of Unity noted what they consider to be unprecedented external influence on the electoral process, citing statements from Moscow, Ankara, Baku, Washington, and Brussels. The party believes this has forced Armenian voters to make their choice based on the positions of foreign power centers.
"The Constitutional Court's decision effectively legitimizes problems in the political system such as vote- buying, repression, abuse of administrative resources, and other electoral violations. All of the above could lead to a further strengthening of political dictatorship, increased social division, and a decline in public trust in state institutions," the party believes.
In this regard, the Wings of Unity party declared its complete disagreement with the Constitutional Court's decision and expressed its readiness to participate in all processes aimed at restoring the legitimacy of the elections, ensuring electoral fairness, and upholding the Constitution and democratic principles in Armenia.
As a reminder, the Wings of Unity party participated in the snap parliamentary elections on June 7, 2026. The party is led by former Human Rights Defender of Armenia Arman Tatoyan. The party received less than 1% of the vote, thus failing to meet the 4% parliamentary threshold for parties. After the Central Election Commission of Armenia announced the election results, the political force refused to recognize their legitimacy and appealed to the Constitutional Court demanding that the results be annulled.
