ArmInfo. On June 25, Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan participated in a celebratory event organized to mark US Independence Day.
According to the government press service, in his speech, the Deputy Prime Minister noted that 250 years ago, the values of freedom, independence, and equality formed the foundation for the founding and sustainable development of the United States of America. These values continue to play a vital role in the international reputation of the United States and the deepening of the strong friendship with Armenia.
"The significant achievements of our bilateral relations in 2025 and 2026 occupy a special place in the rich agenda of Armenian-American relations. On August 8, 2025, under the auspices of the US President, the Joint Declaration of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia and the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan was signed, marking a significant milestone and having a significant impact on both countries and the entire region. Today, with the active participation of the US, Armenia and the South Caucasus have entered a new era of peace and stability. This is also evidenced by the recent visits to Armenia by Vice President J.D. Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio, the signing of the Comprehensive Partnership Charter, the Memorandum of Understanding, and the signing of the Framework Agreement on Strategic Cooperation under the TRIP. In addition to being an important guarantee of peace, TRIP will also become a vital hub for regional and global transportation routes," noted Mher Grigoryan.
He also congratulated Armenian-American compatriots who have contributed to the development of the United States, as well as to the strengthening of friendly Armenian-American ties.
