ArmInfo. No political force or figure can resolve the current situation alone. This was stated by Kristine Vardanyan, MP from the opposition "Armenia" bloc, during a briefing on June 19, commenting on the "Strong Armenia" party's announcement of cooperation with other opposition forces.
She recalled that it was the "Armenia" bloc that declared cooperation essential during the pre-election period. "We are glad that we are following this path," the parliamentarian said. At the same time, Vardanyan noted that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, through his actions and rhetoric, is effectively raising the opposition's awareness of the current reality and the need to move precisely along this path.
The MP did not disclose any details about their joint work and meetings, but noted that healthy discussions are underway, the results of which will become apparent soon.
"It's important that these discussions and the recognition of the need for cooperation exist. Because this is the only path," the MP said.
At the same time, Vardanyan noted that the "Armenia" bloc is open and ready to cooperate with all forces that share a common assessment of the situation and whose goal is change.
It's worth noting that days earlier, the leader of the "Strong Armenia" opposition bloc, Samvel Karapetyan, proposed creating a post-election opposition coalition. "I am announcing a process of unification of opposition forces because we made this mistake before the elections. Many opposition forces, who perhaps fought sincerely, overestimated their strength. We were unable to reach an agreement with many political forces, so this unification is now very important for our country and our people," he noted.
