Zurabyan: Opposition succeeded in conveying to Armenian voters that  these elections are fateful for Armenia

This was stated during a conversation with journalists after voting by Levon  Zurabyan, the candidate for Prime Minister of Armenia from the  Armenian National Congress (ANC) party, led by Armenia's first  president, Levon Ter-Petrosyan.

Zurabyan noted that he personally voted to replace a "mad Armenia"  with a "rational one," and to prevent superpowers from turning the  country into ruins. "I voted for Armenia to become a transit hub  connecting not only the West with the East, but also the North with  the South. I voted for  an Armenia capable of transforming into a  technological paradise and taking its place alongside economically  developed nations.  For a country where democracy and human rights  will finally be respected, where the Constitution and laws will  function, and where people with opposition views and members of the  clergy will not face persecution.  For a country whose leader is a  person who respects the law; where no one attempts to strip us of our  identity, and where we live in a state of sovereign peace," the  politician declared.

Commenting on the detentions of opposition representatives on the day  of the parliamentary elections, Zurabyan expressed his conviction  that this is an indicator of the current government's panic.  According to him, this panic is due, in part, to the outcomes of the  debates broadcast live on the Public Television of Armenia (PTA). "  "Essentially, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan wants to pave the way  for a dictatorship," Zurabyan stated. "He has already made  significant strides in this direction, and now he is pushing even  further. This pressure on the opposition and these arrests signal a  deeply serious threat. The voters' decision in this regard must be  absolute—we cannot allow a dictatorship to take root in Armenia,"  he  emphasized.

According to him, the ANC campaign team has taken appropriate  measures to conduct effective monitoring. He also mentioned that it  was on their initiative that the decision was made to have all  documents signed by voters subsequently published by the Central  Electoral Commission (CEC). "This means that after the elections, you  will have the opportunity to verify who participated. The situation  is only complicated by the fact that Pashinyan seems to be  indifferent to all these regulations and is willing to turn a blind  eye to all violations," Zurabyan concluded.
