Arzakantsyan urges citizens to take  upcoming parliamentary elections  in Armenia seriously

ArmInfo.  Tigran Arzakantsyan, leader of the "Power of the Motherland" party, called on citizens to take the upcoming parliamentary elections in Armenia seriously.

In a statement received by ArmInfo, Arzakantsyan has addressed the  regional situation, state interests, as well as issues of peace and  historical justice. "Today, as the 2021 Prime Ministerial candidate  of the Power of the Homeland Party, I consider it my duty to address  our people and urge them to approach the elections with the utmost  responsibility and choose the political force that will lead our  country for the next five years. This decision is of exceptional  importance for the future of our state, youth, vulnerable families,  economic stability, national security, and domestic and foreign  policy," the politician believes.

Arzakantsyan also spoke about the need for regional peace, mutual  respect between peoples, and the importance of historical recognition  of the Armenian Genocide. "The region is currently experiencing  difficult and dangerous times. The situation around our neighbors  remains tense, and Armenia must be guided solely by national  interests, wisdom, and responsibility to its people. I am also  convinced that peoples must strive for peace, mutual respect, and  cooperation. However, it is impossible to build genuine and sincere  relations without respect for historical truth. The tragedy of the  Armenian Genocide of 1915 continues to be a deep pain for the  Armenian people. And until this historical pain is honestly and  fairly recognized, it will remain a challenging issue for future  generations. At the same time, I am convinced that today's younger  generation should not be held responsible for the mistakes of their  ancestors. On the contrary, the recognition of historical mistakes  can become the basis for normal, civilized, and good- neighborly  relations through the development of economic, trade, humanitarian,  and cultural ties.  Neighboring peoples must live in an atmosphere of  peace, mutual respect, and the joint development of the region,"  Arzakantsyan added.

In conclusion, he emphasized that June 7 is an important day for  Armenia. "Let the people make a wise choice for a strong, secure, and  dignified future for our country," he concluded.
