Beeline is pleased to announce a special New Year campaign for the fixed communication subscribers - on 1 Jan 2015 all the calls from the Beeline fixed network to any fixed telephone numbers of Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh will be free, the company's press service has told ArmInfo. 

VTB Bank (Armenia) has decided to offer its Telephone Bank service to companies and private businessmen in view of its popularity among customers.

On Dec 27, Armenia's Central Bank sold banks $2mln, i.e. the total amount offered. The press service of the CB reports that the average AMD/USD exchange rate on the interbank forex market rose to 468.08 AMD/1 USD, with the cut-off price rising to 467.25 AMD/1USD. The transactions at NASDAQ OMX Armenia totaled $400 thsd at the exchange rate of 470 AMD/$1.

The future of Armenfilm is still vague. To recall, 9 years ago the film studio was sold to CS Films-Studios owned by Cafesjian Family Foundation for 350 mln USD. The company was to digitize the films and overhaul and technically reequip the studio. However, it was found out that the contractual obligations were not carried out over the past few years.   

Mr. Urikhanyan, the Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) supports Armenia’s Accession to the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). How much is this decision justified today amid the sad situation in the Russian economy?   

"Sabotage attacks are not our style and the Artsakh servicemen have never resolved problems by such methods", Spokesman for the Artsakh Republic President David Babayan says in a statement.

Meanwhile, according to the NKR Defense Army, on Dec 21-27 the Azeri armed forces breached the ceasefire on the Line of Contact of the 
Azeri and NKR troops for more than 900 times by firing over 11,000 shots at the NKR combat positions.  

At the same time, in the course of reconnaissance and sabotage actions, the Azeri special forces used small arms and mined some sections in the area between the combat positions.  

The NKR Defense Army detachments handle the situation confidently. They noticed the enemy's movement in due time and threw back the enemy. The NKR Defense Army suffered no losses.

The life president of the neighboring country called Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, has again rattled the saboteur. As Azerbaijani mass media reported, at the opening ceremony of Heydar mosque in Baku, on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev expressed wish "to live in Nagornyy Karabakh" and other "historical lands", which are actually the Armenian territories.

The Foundation for the Preservation of Wildlife and Cultural Assets and its General Partner VivaCell-MTS will mark the completion and present the outcomes of a project implemented in Tsovagyugh community within the framework of the joint Alternative Energy Project. The initiative included solar water heating system and solar panels in the community kindergarten, as well as two solar electric fences to protect animals and crops from wolves and other predators.
